Market Survey

Understanding the market cider glasses' specific flavor enhancing features was vital before initial conception.
Initial Concepts

The initial concepts started looking at simply an aesthetic glass. However since hard cider releases aroma with agitation, the initial concepts quickly pivoted to increasing that agitation. The main concept moving forward encourages the user to swirl the glass. The liquid inside would flow up the ribbing and create eddies.
Generation I

Our first test proved function as intended, however it did not feel very comfortable in the hand.
Generation II

Our second mockup updated the spiral pattern to have it follow the contour of the hand. This version provided the swirling motion inside of the glass we wanted and was comfortable to hold.
